UJAM’s Latigo is a virtual Latin percussion instrument that puts a professional percussionist’s feel into your productions. Built around 460 phrase performances in 20 player styles, it covers congas, maracas, cabasa, tambourine, claves, cowbells, and claps, all produced by multi-instrumentalist Nate Williams (ex-Jamiroquai). The grooves work equally well alongside electronic beats or acoustic drum parts, adding movement and texture to any genre. A Depth control lets you place the whole kit or individual instruments forward or back in the virtual room, helping you carve space in a busy mix. Six mix presets—Vanilla, Slam, Trippy, Vintage, HiFi, and Tape—reshape the sound from clean to saturated in seconds. You can drag any phrase straight into your DAW as MIDI and edit it freely, or layer it with your own drum plugins. It suits hobby producers wanting quick, organic percussion without hiring a player.
