Dear Reality dearVR MONITOR is a headphone monitoring plugin that simulates listening through speakers in a virtual control room. It helps home producers and mixing engineers assess stereo, surround and immersive projects without needing a physical multichannel speaker system.

Choose from five mix room models, including dry analytical options and larger spaces, then adjust the room response with the Ambience and Focus controls. Supported speaker layouts extend from stereo to configurations such as 7.1.4, 9.1.6 and 13.1, making it useful for checking spatial placement in immersive mixes. Head tracking support also allows head rotation within the virtual listening setup.

For additional perspective, switch between 11 listening environments, including a car, club, cinema and living room. These provide alternative acoustic references when judging how a production might translate beyond your headphones. Built-in Spatial Headphone Compensation offers profiles for 45 studio headphone models to account for their individual characteristics.
