discoDSP OB-Xd v2.13 x64 VST AU WiN MAC LiNUX [FREE]

discoDSP OB-Xd is a free virtual analog synthesizer inspired by the Oberheim OB-X. It aims to capture the character and response of that classic instrument while extending aspects of its original design. For hobby producers exploring vintage-style synthesis, it offers a way to bring analog-inspired sounds into a software setup.

Small, randomized tuning variations help create the slight instability associated with older analog synths. A continuously blendable multimode filter provides further sound-shaping options, with 12 dB and 24 dB modes and adjustable filter characteristics. OB-Xd has no built-in effects, so you can choose your own chorus, delay or reverb plugins to add space and movement.

Version 2.13 adds MIDI channel selection for all channels or individual channels 1–16, plus the ability to export the active preset to disk. Preset naming also gains keyboard support. The Windows version suits producers building a plugin-based workflow in hosts such as FL Studio or Ableton Live. OB-Xd Desktop is free to use without restrictions, with optional purchases supporting continued development.
