E-phonic Invader 2 is an eight-voice polyphonic synthesizer for producers who want hands-on sound design without navigating layers of menus. Its knob-per-function layout keeps controls visible, making it approachable for hobby musicians building sounds in FL Studio or Ableton Live on Windows using VST3.
The sound engine combines two oscillators with a sub oscillator, offering triangle, saw, pulse-width and oscillator-sync variations. Stereo noise and ring modulation add further textures, while clean low-pass, raw low-pass and band-pass filters provide different ways to shape the tone. Filter drive or a high-pass option extends that control.
For movement, Invader 2 includes two LFOs with delay, two envelopes, and an arpeggiator with a 16-step sequencer. Polyphonic stereo unison can expand the sound to as many as 48 voices, with an optional lower-CPU emulation mode. The built-in delay covers normal, ping-pong, tape and diffusion styles, so you can add space without another effect plugin.
More than 200 presets provide starting points for exploring the instrument. Version 1.0.10 addresses occasional crashes on loading and improves Unicode handling for preset names and file paths.
