Evolve Alloy by Excite Audio is a sample-based synthesizer built around metallic sound sources. Its quad-layer engine lets you combine up to four sample instruments or synth oscillators, drawing from over 250 sources that range from bright bells and glockenspiels to industrial foley and modern metallic synths. Blend layers in real time with the XY Pad, then shape your tone using four metal-inspired macro effects: Sharpen, Rust, Vibrate and Spring. Dual filters, drag-and-drop modulation and a rearrangeable 3-slot FX chain offer deep sound design, while one-click randomisation and 250 presets provide instant inspiration. You can also import your own samples to create custom patches. The result suits producers of ambient, industrial techno, hyperpop and any style that needs expressive, otherworldly metallic textures. It runs on Windows and macOS in all major DAWs.
