Fractured: Prepared Acoustic Guitar

Fractured: Prepared Acoustic Guitar by Vir2 Instruments turns acoustic guitar recordings into an unconventional Kontakt-powered instrument collection. Its 104 instruments draw on 2.3GB of compressed samples, taking familiar string resonance into scraped percussion, gritty drums, evolving pads, cinematic impacts and unusual melodic textures. Mallets, fingernails, metal, cardboard and even rice bring a tactile character to the sounds, while rhythmic loops and arpeggiated patches offer movement for electronic tracks and screen scoring. Five folders organize the collection into Chromatic Kits, Drum Kits, Melodic, Pads & SFX, and Tempo Synced instruments. Patch-specific controls provide relevant adjustments such as envelopes, filters, stereo spread, layer blending and effects. Suited to producers and sound designers who want organic textures beyond conventional guitar parts, Fractured offers playable material for atmospheric arrangements, experimental beats and dramatic transitions.
