WirePluck is a virtual synthesizer from Rob Papen built for producers who want plucked sounds that don’t imitate real instruments. Its three-layer engine combines four synthesis types: Wire, a new source with a struck-wire character; String, using custom Karplus physical modelling; FM, a three-operator phase-modulation synth with per-oscillator pitch envelope decay for extra snap; and Wave, a subtractive oscillator with multiple filter types. Layer and blend them to create fresh, inspirational plucks for electronic, cinematic, and pop productions. The Main screen puts key controls and ARP presets up front, while the Advance screen exposes deeper editing. You also get two LFOs, an eight-slot modulation matrix, a full arpeggiator with chord, ratchet, and slide functions, velocity splits, MPE and legato modes, four reorderable FX units (distortion, modulation, stereo delay, reverb), a ribbon controller, and a preset browser with categories and search. It suits hobby producers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want distinctive plucked timbres.
