Fury-800 is a free software instrument that recreates the KORG Poly-800, a polyphonic synthesizer from 1983. It runs as a VST plugin on Windows and as VST or AU on macOS, and is coded in native C++ so it stays light on CPU even on older machines. The sound engine offers two band-limited DCOs, each with its own envelope, and four additive-harmonic waveforms (16′, 8′, 4′, 2′). A single paraphonic lowpass filter and a noise source complete the signal path. You also get an onboard sequencer, chord memory, and a pseudo-stereo chorus effect. Extra tweaks include up to 64-voice polyphony with velocity, a ‘God Mode’ for true polyphony, continuous parameter values, a resizable interface, and MIDI Learn for controlling any parameter with a MIDI CC. It is aimed at hobby producers and anyone curious about early-80s digital-analog hybrid sounds, and it fits easily into FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic projects on Windows or Mac.
