PhraseLab is a music theory-driven MIDI generator that writes complete musical ideas in a single click. Instead of drawing notes one by one, you get four connected parts at once: chords, melody, bass and arpeggio, each following the current chord. It covers 32 genres and 269 presets, all tuned by ear so dance tracks avoid the kick with offbeat stabs and rolling bass, while hip hop and R&B sit in a laid-back pocket. A built-in guide drum groove lets you audition progressions in context without exporting the drums. You can lock the parts you like, regenerate the rest, adjust swing and feel per lane, and work in odd time signatures per scene. Add or remove lanes, import chords, then drag full arrangements into your DAW as MIDI. It runs as VST3, AU and SAL on Windows and macOS, and is aimed at hobby producers using FL Studio, Ableton or Logic who want a fast, musical starting point.
