Iona by AIR Music Technology is a software synthesizer that meticulously models the classic Roland SH-101, bringing its legendary monophonic sound and hands-on workflow to your DAW. It recreates the original’s pulse, sawtooth, sub, and noise sources, with VCO pitch range and modulation controls, pulse-width modulation, and a BPM-syncable LFO with nine shapes. The filter section includes cutoff and resonance, modulated via envelope, LFO, and keyboard tracking. An ADSR envelope can be assigned to the VCA with a three-way trigger selector, and portamento controls are on board. You also get customizable bender controls, an arpeggiator, and an FX section with Lo-Fi, delay, reverb, and 3-band EQ. The pattern sequencer offers the classic 101 workflow plus 128 steps, transpose/shift, and a graphical editor.
