Wavesfactory Marxophone brings the shimmering, hammered-dulcimer-like tone of a fretless zither into Kontakt. Blend four sampled articulations: strummed chords, bouncing spring-driven hammers, bright guitar-pick attacks and softer finger-plucked notes. Its ringing strings and distinctive tremolo suit delicate melodies, atmospheric layers and folk-inspired arrangements, making it a useful choice for producers and composers seeking an unusual acoustic texture. Each articulation offers load/purge controls, while the mixer provides panning, level, stereo width and output routing. Shape the sound with eight effect slots per channel, including EQ, compression, modulation, saturation and algorithmic or convolution reverb. Four true round robins help repeated notes feel more natural, with adjustable velocity response, dynamic range, envelopes and spring-release noise for further refinement. Marxophone requires the full version of Kontakt 5.7.3 or later; the free Kontakt Player runs it in demo mode only.
