MNE OhSnap is a drum sound generator for producers who want to build individual hits from layered synthesis and sampled textures. Its five engines—Sampler, Noise, Body, Karplus and Granular—can be combined to shape a sound’s impact, weight and character. Automatic layer alignment helps keep those elements working together without requiring you to line them up manually.

The included library contains more than 700 field-recorded samples, giving hobby producers and sound designers plenty of organic material to explore. You can also import your own samples, making it useful for turning personal recordings into custom percussion or adding a distinctive texture to a drum hit.

Once a sound is ready, a two-click audio export lets you save it as an audio file. OhSnap can also use your host’s latency compensation to align the hit’s impact with incoming MIDI notes. Available as a VST3 plugin for Windows, it suits drum programming and sound-design sessions in compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
