Monochord v2.5

Monochord v2.5 by Cinematique Instruments brings the shimmering resonance of a 21-string German monochord into your productions. Sampled from an instrument tuned to B, with one string an octave lower, it delivers deep, metallic tones and sustained washes rich in overtones. Hand-plucked and plectrum articulations offer contrasting attacks, while chromatic samples with round-robin variations and dynamic layers let you play melodic parts. For a more traditional approach, sweep across the mapped strings on your keyboard and transpose the resulting texture using a keyswitch. Experimental noises and layerable FX textures extend its palette into atmospheric sound design. Version 2.5 gathers the instruments and textures into one patch, with presets and a refreshed interface. With approximately 600 samples, it suits producers and composers looking for unusual acoustic colors, meditative drones, ambient beds, or evocative soundtrack details.
