FSVR is a free software recreation of the Yamaha FS1R formant synthesizer, rebuilt from the original firmware. Inside you get all 88 FM algorithms, including the voiced and unvoiced operators that gave the FS1R its distinct character. The factory banks are included: 1408 voices, 384 performances, and 90 formant sequences pulled straight from the ROM, so you can start browsing patches immediately. Fseq playback supports every loop mode, start delay, and MIDI clock sync. The interface mirrors the hardware front panel, with cursor stops and controller sets taken from the firmware’s own screen tables. A bank manager handles your own .syx libraries, and Import Audio lets you bring in Fseqs.
