Muted Trumpet Harmon

Muted Trumpet Harmon by Wavesfactory brings the intimate, metallic character of a Harmon-muted trumpet to Kontakt. Performed by Bernat Xamena, this sampled instrument captures individual notes and transitions without pitch shifting, with true legato for connected melodic lines. Its distinctive, slightly tinny tone suits smoky jazz leads, understated soundtrack passages and expressive brass parts in contemporary productions. Key switches let you move between true legato, staccato and polyphonic sustains, while MIDI CC control of dynamics, expression, vibrato and reverb helps shape each phrase. An onboard effects system offers EQ, compression, modulation, saturation, amp simulation and both algorithmic and convolution reverb, including more than 40 custom impulse responses. With 731 samples and three velocity layers, it suits producers and composers seeking playable muted brass without extensive setup. Requires the full version of Kontakt 5.7.3 or later; the free Kontakt Player runs it in demo mode only.
