Samba Drums

Wavesfactory Samba Drums is a Kontakt percussion instrument that brings Brazilian batucada textures to your productions. Its ten instruments include three surdo sizes, snare, timba, repinique, tamborim, rocar, agogo and whistle, with solo and ensemble articulations for building anything from sparse grooves to busy carnival-style rhythms. Dry studio recordings from two microphone positions give you a controlled starting point, while four velocity layers and six round robins add variation to repeated hits. Shape each instrument with volume, pan and pitch controls, then add channel-specific effects such as EQ, compression, saturation and reverb. The built-in sequencer offers seven presets, editable steps and per-hit velocity control for programming expressive patterns. Adjustable dynamics, velocity response and envelopes help tailor the feel. It suits producers and composers looking for Brazilian percussion in dance tracks, rhythmic underscores or samba-inspired arrangements.
