Nb Audio Daedalus v1 is a free, 32-bit Windows synthesizer built for expressive MIDI playing. It suits hobby producers and keyboard players who want to shape their sound through pitch bend, modulation wheel, velocity and aftertouch rather than rely only on static settings.

Its sound engine combines two pulse-width-modulated oscillators with oscillator sync and modulation from the second oscillator to the first. Octave, semitone and fine-tuning controls help set up layered tones, while the mixer adds noise and ring modulation. A separate 12 dB/oct high-pass filter works alongside a main filter offering four modes, with 12 and 24 dB/oct slopes.

Dedicated ADSR envelopes control the oscillators, filter and amplifier. Two tempo-syncable LFOs provide additional movement, with selectable shapes, trigger behavior and modulation routing. Mono, polyphonic and unison modes cover different playing styles, with unison detune and portamento available for further shaping.

Chorus, delay and an arpeggiator round out the instrument. For FL Studio or Ableton Live users on Windows, compatibility with this older x86 plugin should be checked before installation; a 64-bit setup may require bridging.
