Sonnox Oxford Dynamic EQ tackles boomy lows and harsh resonances with frequency-selective processing that responds to your audio, rather than applying a fixed EQ cut throughout a track. Its five overlapping Oxford Type-3 bands use proportional-Q curves for musical shaping and transparent control on individual instruments, groups and the mix bus. Trigger processing with a level threshold, or use onset detection to target drum and percussion transients precisely. Each band offers internal or external sidechain control, plus mono, stereo, mid or side processing and detection. Upward and downward compression and expansion provide scope for both corrective work and creative tonal movement. Bring a centred vocal into focus, manage low-end energy in the middle of a mix, or tame abrasive passages without dulling quieter sections. It suits producers who want detailed dynamic EQ control without relying on extensive automation.
