Reel Audio Instruments Capulet is a virtual-analogue drum synthesizer with a built-in step sequencer, designed for producers who want to create drum sounds and program patterns in one plugin. Its four dedicated synthesis engines take inspiration from classic drum machines, making it a useful option for hobby musicians interested in synthesized percussion rather than sample-based kits.
Modulation runs entirely at audio rate, supporting analogue-style envelope behavior. The sequencer also offers voice modulation on individual steps, so you can introduce changes within a pattern instead of repeating the same sound unchanged. This combination puts drum sound design and rhythmic variation together in a single workflow.
Capulet provides individual stereo outputs for separate routing in your DAW, plus host synchronization to keep its sequencer aligned with your project. MIDI output is included as well. Version 1.1.1 is supplied as a Windows VST3 plugin, making it suitable for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
