Ronan Fed PNEUMA is a free, 64-bit subtractive polyphonic synthesizer for Windows, available in VST and VST3 formats. It suits hobby producers using FL Studio or Ableton Live who want to build layered synth sounds with sampling, modulation and effects in one instrument.

Its sound engine combines four multi-voice oscillators with two sample oscillators and a stereo noise generator. Detune and stereo controls help widen oscillator layers, while state-variable and Moog filter types provide different tone-shaping options. Separate amplitude and filter ADSR envelopes include adjustable curves, alongside two modulation envelopes, two tempo-synced LFOs with a random shape option, and a modulation matrix.

For melodic patterns, PNEUMA includes an arpeggiator and chord generator. Its onboard processing covers three-band parametric EQ, chorus, phaser, delay, reverb, compression, saturation and distortion. Bass boost and Haas-based stereo imaging offer additional shaping without loading separate effects.

Version 1.2 adds interface resizing, updated graphics, and oscilloscope and frequency-spectrum displays for visual feedback. It also revises LFO controls and addresses chorus and phaser issues.
