RYM2612 Iconic FM Synthesizer

RYM2612 Iconic FM Synthesizer by Inphonik brings the distinctive Sega Genesis/Mega Drive sound into your DAW. Its cycle-accurate Yamaha YM2612 emulation recreates the chip’s gritty digital saturation, intense feedback and natural distortion, while modeled console amplifier circuitry adds authentic hardware character. Use it for punchy retro basses, bright FM melodies, evolving textures and arcade-style effects, or bring its rough-edged tone into modern electronic tracks. More than 100 organized presets offer starting points for producers exploring FM synthesis. You can keep the original six-voice limit or expand to 16 voices, with a dedicated PCM channel available. Audio input adds 8-bit PCM coloration to external signals, while switchable output filtering and ladder effect provide further tonal options. Available in VST, Audio Unit and AAX formats.
