S12X

S12X is a plugin that recreates the character of a classic 12-bit drum sampler, using neural network technology to model the original unit’s pre-amp and filter behaviour. The result is a punchy, authentic tone with the grit and warmth that defined early digital drum machines. Its standout Distrukt feature reproduces the aliasing artefacts you get when pitching samples up and down on the vintage hardware, adding that lo-fi sparkle and edge. This makes S12X a natural fit for Lo-Fi, Synthwave, 90s Techno and other retro-leaning genres, whether you’re processing drums, breaks or full loops. It ships with 50 factory presets to get you started fast, letting hobby producers capture that vintage flavour without hunting down rare hardware. If you love the sound of early digital sampling and want it quickly in your sessions, S12X is built for you.
