Sie-Q

Soundtoys Sie-Q is a character EQ plugin inspired by the Siemens W295b, pairing smooth tonal shaping with modelled hardware saturation. Its High band brings air and openness to vocals or full mixes, while gentler cuts can soften bright acoustic guitars and cymbals. The switched Mid band lets you highlight or rein in midrange detail, and the Low band adds bass weight or clears space in a crowded arrangement. For extra colour, push the Drive control to bring out the original EQ’s saturation character. Rather than inviting endless surgical adjustments, Sie-Q uses carefully chosen frequencies and curves to make broad tonal decisions feel straightforward. It suits hobby producers and mix engineers who want a quick, musical way to sweeten individual tracks, drum groups or the master bus, with a distinctive vintage flavour.
