Sonic Academy KICK 2 is a kick drum synthesizer for producers who want to build their own drum sounds rather than depend on ready-made samples. It lets you shape and manipulate a synthesized kick to suit a track, making it useful for hobby producers refining their low end or exploring different kick designs.
This Windows release of KICK 2 v1.1.5 is 64-bit only, with support for VST, VST3 and AAX plugin formats. It suits compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live; 32-bit plugin support is no longer included.
Version 1.1.5 adds VST3 support and addresses several workflow issues. Updates include a fix for channel configuration in some hosts, particularly FL Studio when using VST3, plus corrected EQ graphics at display scaling settings other than 100%. The release also fixes a possible crash involving envelope resets and improves preset-name handling when a referenced preset file is missing. For producers seeking a dedicated kick-design instrument, KICK 2 offers an alternative to searching through sample packs.
