It captures the warm, distinctive character and lively low end of the original hardware, with richer coloration and slightly more pronounced wow and flutter. Driven hotter, it adds subtle harmonic distortion that helps achieve loudness without heavy compression, making it a refined tool for mixdowns and mastering. Part of the Deep Vintage series, Tape M uses APNN 2.0 neural network technology to reproduce the full sonic soul of analog hardware—dynamics, phase shifts, transformer saturation, and more—with minimal CPU usage and latency. Independent harmonics control lets you dial in saturation separately from other tonal characteristics, while low-frequency saturation adds gentle low-end girth.
