TetraOP is a free wavetable synthesizer built around four oscillators, inspired by Ableton’s Operator but with its own twist. Each operator can use wavetables and supports FM and ring modulation routing, with 10 predefined FM layouts and a routing matrix to shape complex tones. You get up to 16 unison voices per operator across five modes, eight phase distortion modes, and two filters with five types and four modes each. A drag-and-drop modulation system lets you assign envelopes, LFOs, and macros quickly. It’s aimed at hobby producers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want a capable, CPU-friendly synth for exploring FM and wavetable textures. Note that it lacks a wavetable editor, preset browser, and advanced filter section, and the developer isn’t planning major feature additions. If you’re comfortable with a straightforward interface and want a free tool for sound design experiments, TetraOP is worth a look.
