u-he Podolski is a free virtual analogue synthesizer for producers who want hands-on sound design without a crowded control panel. Its CPU-efficient design combines one oscillator, a multimode filter and a flexible envelope, making it approachable for beginners and useful for hobbyists building patches in a Windows production setup.

Shape the oscillator between sawtooth and triangle, adjust pulse width, or add glide for sliding notes. Choose up to 16-voice polyphony, mono or legato operation, then introduce movement with two LFOs: one shared globally and one running per voice. The filter offers lowpass, bandpass and highpass responses, plus drive and FM for additional tonal shaping.

For rhythmic parts, Podolski pairs an arpeggiator with a 16-step sequencer and an extra modulation source. Stereo delay and chorus/flanger provide onboard effects, while more than 300 factory presets offer starting points for exploring its sound.

A resizable interface, MIDI learn and NKS compatibility help with everyday control. Version 1.2.3 also adds Oddsound MTS-ESP support. On Windows, it requires Windows 7 or later and a CPU supporting SSE4.2.
