VCL-25A Vintage Vari-Mu Leveller

The VCL-25A is a faithful emulation of a 1950s Vari-Mu tube leveler, originally built for radio broadcast. It delivers smooth, natural dynamic control that adds depth and shimmer without muddiness, and it can turn gritty when pushed. The extended threshold and release let you go from gentle mix bus glue to aggressive drum crushing on a parallel bus. Useful for mixing and mastering, it suits producers who want vintage tube character with modern control. Extra features include a large VU/GR meter, input gain compensation, switchable release times, a linear output attenuator, adjustable noise floor, and a mix control. Whether you’re riding a vocal or adding cohesion to a full mix, this plugin makes it easy to achieve solid, musical dynamics on the fly.
