VCL-373 Vintage Compressor/Limiter

The VCL-373 is a vintage-style compressor/limiter plugin modeled after a rare 1960s German broadcast unit. Its discrete Class-A circuit and premium transformers deliver smooth, creamy compression with musical saturation, perfect for adding density and punch without squashing dynamics. With just input drive and release controls, it’s incredibly easy to dial in great results, while extra features like continuous drive, gain compensation, GR metering, and mix control add modern flexibility. It excels on vocals, drums, and instruments that already have healthy volume and just need that extra push. It’s also a secret weapon for spoken word, podcasts, and mastering, where it increases loudness while preserving felt dynamics. If you want a plugin that makes everything sound a bit better, the VCL-373 is a superb choice for hobby producers seeking authentic vintage character.
