Velvet 2

Velvet 2 by AIR Music Technology brings five electric piano models inspired by the 1960s and ’70s into a single playable instrument. Its blend of sampling and modelling captures the character and response of classic stage pianos, the Wurlitzer 200A and Hohner Pianet-T. From mellow chords and soulful melodies to gritty rhythmic parts, it suits producers and keyboard players looking for expressive vintage keys. Adjust timbre, velocity response and mechanical noise to shape both the tone and playing feel, or use Vintage Mode for a character reminiscent of older recordings. The onboard preamp offers tube overdrive, compression and a three-band EQ, while effects including tremolo, wah, chorus, tape delay and reverb help place your piano in the mix. With over 350 presets, Velvet 2 offers quick starting points alongside plenty of scope for personal sound design.
