Vintage Tube Compressor/Limiter Model 670

This plugin recreates the legendary Fairchild 670, a vari-mu tube compressor/limiter revered for its musical, emotional character and often called the ‘holy grail’ of dynamics processing. It faithfully models every control and the original’s dual-limiter design, letting you operate in standard stereo or decode mid/side for mastering-style control of center and side elements. The tube signal path and gain-reduction behavior add richness, presence, and harmonics to anything passing through. With its extremely fast attack and variable release times, it excels as a peak limiter without pumping, yet remains smooth enough for glue and tone. It’s ideal on your mix or mastering bus, but also shines on drum submixes for cohesion and on vocals for warmth and presence. Perfect for hobby producers seeking authentic vintage compression magic in their DAW.
