Xfer Records Dimension Expander v1.24 VST AU WiN MAC [FREE]

Xfer Records Dimension Expander is a free chorus and spatial expansion effect for producers who want to give sounds a broader, more spacious character. Its design draws on a late-1980s approach to widening: four chorus voices use extended delay times, with two voices running out of phase relative to the other pair. That combination creates a distinctive sense of spread rather than simply repeating the original signal.

For hobby producers working in FL Studio or Ableton, it offers a way to explore chorus-based width when a part feels too narrow. Try it on a synth line, pad, or other melodic element and judge how the added space fits around the rest of the arrangement. Because phase differences are central to the effect, checking the result in mono is a sensible mixing step. Dimension Expander is an audio effect, not a sound-generating instrument.
