XO Expansion: Phonk

XO Expansion: Phonk by XLN Audio is a preset and sample pack for the XO drum sequencer, built for producers chasing the raw, deliberately broken sound of phonk. It centers on low-tuned, resampled drum machines pushed through bit-crushing and extreme saturation, with punchy 808/909-style snares layered with foley and white noise. Hats are tight and synthesized until they bite, while tuned synth cowbells ride on top. Each preset is tuned to hit XO’s Master Soft Clipper, turning missing high end into explosive harmonic warmth. Varispeed pitch variations let you flip between high-speed drift and slowed-down underground grooves. With 75 presets and 201 samples, every sequence is fully editable in XO’s sequencer, so you can tweak and craft unique beats without static loops. Ideal for hobby producers in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic exploring phonk, trap, and underground hip-hop.
