MDMX Distortion Modules

MDMX Distortion Modules is a versatile effects plugin from Waves that brings three classic stompbox-inspired distortion flavors—screamer, overdrive, and fuzz—into your DAW. Unlike typical guitar-focused distortion units, MDMX is designed for all instruments: add grit to drums, craft industrial bass tones, give vocals a tight edge, or rough up synth sounds. The innovative Temperature control lets you dial in overall warmth and character, while parallel processing blends distorted and dry signals for perfect balance. Mid-side processing lets you treat stereo center and sides independently, with dedicated input level control for each. Nearly every parameter supports MIDI Learn for real-time control, and HD mode oversamples to minimize aliasing. With 112 artist presets and 23 factory presets, MDMX suits hobby producers and seasoned engineers alike who want flexible, musical distortion across genres.
