Electric Grand 80 Piano

Electric Grand 80 Piano by Waves is a meticulously sampled recreation of the legendary CP-80 electro-acoustic piano, the sound behind countless late ’70s and ’80s pop and R&B hits. Sitting between a full acoustic grand and a tine-based electric, it delivers a focused, complex tone that cuts through mixes with reverberant chords and polished leads. The plugin includes sustain simulation for sympathetic resonance, realistic mechanical noises from key release and pedal action, and a multi-effect section with tremolo, autopan, chorus, phaser, and reverb. Shape your tone with bass, mid, and treble controls, fine-tune dynamics using limiting and compression, and adjust the formant for anything from mellow to brash. A variable velocity curve tailors response to your playing. Ideal for producers chasing authentic 80s pop, rock, or R&B keys, it also works standalone for live performance and is NKS-ready for Komplete Kontrol and Maschine.
