Apisonic Labs Speedrum 2 is a sample-based drum instrument for producers who want to build kits, program beats and slice loops in one workspace. Its MPC-style interface combines 64 pads with a dedicated step sequencer, making it a practical choice for hobby producers working in FL Studio or Ableton Live on Windows.

Each pad holds up to 16 sample layers, with volume, pan, pitch, mute and solo controls close at hand. Choke groups help manage overlapping sounds, while velocity, timing, pitch and pan humanization can loosen up rigid patterns. Per-pad volume and filter envelopes provide further control over drum shape and response.

Sound shaping includes distortion, a multimode filter, a VCA-style compressor and a transient shaper. Route pads to internal buses or up to 16 stereo outputs for separate mixing in your DAW. Multi-pad editing, MIDI learn and drag-and-drop operations help keep kit-building straightforward.

Speedrum supports WAV, AIF, FLAC, MP3 and OGG samples, plus kit saving, loading and import from several non-native formats. The resizable interface offers 16- or 32-pad views. This Windows version supports 64-bit VST2 and VST3 hosts.
