Red Rock Sound FUSE Stereo Image is a mid-side stereo imaging effect for Windows producers who want to adjust width and shape the sense of space in a mix. Available in VST2 and VST3 formats, it suits hobby musicians working in compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
Its processing draws on stereo shuffling, a technique associated with Alan Blumlein’s work on stereo in 1931. The WIDTH control changes the side-signal level to make the stereo field narrower or wider. SPACE takes a more frequency-focused approach, applying a broad bass boost or cut to the side signal. SHUFFLE adjusts the cutoff frequency within that circuit, giving you another way to refine the spatial result.
For checking your changes, SOLO SIDE lets you hear the stereo difference component on its own, while M/S monitoring helps you assess the mid and side information. Preset management and A/B comparison make it easier to revisit settings and judge alternative treatments without relying on memory.
