Deconstructed Piano by Cinematique Instruments turns a dismantled piano into an expressive collection of unconventional tones, percussion and evolving textures. Recorded using hammers, felt and wool mallets, screws, picks, sticks and other materials, it moves from delicate harmonic details to heavy metallic hits and raw destruction sounds. Three distinct patches—Piano, Strikes and Textures—keep its varied palette within reach. The Piano patch offers eleven sounds across three categories, with individual volume controls for building custom blends. Attack and decay sliders shape the response, while volume randomisation suggests unexpected combinations. Reverb, delay, distortion and EQ provide further sound shaping. A separate collection of 24 percussion sounds, recorded with multiple round-robin variations, can complement the piano or work independently. Suited to experimental producers and composers, this instrument brings unusual accents, cinematic impacts and tactile atmosphere to arrangements that need something beyond a conventional piano.
