Chromatix

Chromatix is a meticulously restored virtual instrument based on a rare 1983 Chroma, a 16-VCO analog polysynth with a fascinating history. Loot Audio revived this beast after extensive repairs, replacing dozens of aging ICs and bringing its dual low-pass filters, flexible VCA routing, and multi-timbral voice architecture back to life. The result is a warm, characterful sound that excels at lush pads, evolving textures, and rich leads. With 50 user-programmable patches, layering, and keyboard splits, it offers deep programming for sound designers and classic analog tones for producers. Ideal for hobbyists and professionals alike who want the unmistakable vibe of a vintage 16-oscillator synth in their DAW. Whether you’re crafting ambient soundscapes or retro-flavored tracks, Chromatix delivers authentic analog warmth and unique character.
