Siege Drum is a cinematic percussion library built around a large 13 x 13 medieval Davul drum, captured in two very different spaces: a tight studio for dry, punchy hits and a late 19th-century hall for a natural, spacious character. Each articulation—played by hands, a leather mallet, rattan and traditional sticks—was sampled with 4x round robins and up to 5 velocity layers. The 14 patches range from deep, rumbling low end to tom, open snare and frame drum tones, and layered together they can sound enormous. Rolls and FX patches round out the set. The interface adds an arpeggiator, pitch control, 13 custom impulse responses, dry/wet blending, plus EQ, attack and release shaping, with pitch control turning it into something entirely new. It suits film, game and trailer composers needing dramatic, epic percussion. Requires the full version of Kontakt.
