Analog Obsession COMPER v1.1 is a free compressor plugin for producers who want to shape dynamics and add character with two compression stages in series. It suits home-studio users looking to control peaks and explore different compression combinations without loading separate processors.

Each stage offers VCA, FET and OPTO modes. Choose one circuit or enable several together: active circuits run in parallel within that stage and contribute equally to its output. This lets you combine compression styles before passing the signal into the second stage.

Threshold, ratio, attack and release controls handle dynamics, while gain-compensated input, make-up gain and a dry/wet mix help balance the result. The second compressor supports external sidechain input; the first uses internal detection only. Version 1.1 adds a sidechain high-pass filter and adjusts the attack, release and ratio scales.
