Analog Obsession LALA v2.1 is a free compressor and limiter plugin for producers who want straightforward dynamics control with adjustable sidechain response. Its Peak Reduction knob determines how much compression is applied, while Gain restores the output level. Switch on Limit mode when you need limiting rather than compression.

For more control over what triggers the processing, LALA includes an external sidechain input and sidechain filtering that remains available with an external signal. The high-pass filter reduces low-frequency influence on detection, while the mid and high controls adjust sensitivity to those frequency ranges. This lets you shape the compressor’s response without treating every part of the incoming signal equally.

Other features include switchable 4x oversampling, a bypass control, knob value readouts, alternative skins and Retina/HiDPI graphics. Version 2.1 addresses oversampling issues and audio dropouts when running multiple instances.
