Autoformer

Autoformer by United Plugins brings analogue-style character and controlled dynamics together in one mixing effect. Its preamp offers three flavours: weighty British console tone, punchy American input colour and smooth German tube-console warmth. An intelligent volume rider helps even out inconsistent performances and sudden level drops, while a fast, transparent compressor gently reins in dynamics without deliberately colouring the sound. Use it to keep vocals and voice-overs steady, smooth bass guitar or double bass parts, or balance drum recordings. Each section has its own bypass switch, so you can apply subtle levelling alone or combine saturation and compression as needed. Five LED meters show activity throughout the signal chain, and the resizable interface adapts to your workspace. It suits home producers who want practical level control with optional vintage character.
