Banjo v3 by Cinematique Instruments brings the authentic twang of a five-string banjo to your DAW. Recorded from a 33 cm mahogany-bodied instrument, it captures the plucked, percussive character that defines bluegrass, folk, country, and Irish traditional music. Multiple velocity layers and round-robin variations keep performances organic, while strumming noises and a shortened-notes feature add realism. The 2022 update introduced two new articulations recorded with a fresh banjo, expanding its range from familiar bluegrass rolls to bold, cinematic film-score textures. All articulations now live in one intuitive interface with an arpeggiator, step sequencer, octaver, and reverb, plus FX and editing controls. With roughly 200 samples and 100 MB of compressed data, it’s a lightweight yet expressive instrument for hobby producers in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want convincing banjo parts without hiring a player.
