The Ronroco is a traditional Andean string instrument with ten strings in five courses, similar to a mandolin. This virtual instrument from Cinematique Instruments captures its unique character using multiple microphone positions, four round-robin variations, and three to five velocity layers for a realistic, expressive sound. Originally heard in Andean folk music, the Ronroco is now often associated with the music of Gustavo Santaolalla, making it ideal for film scores and atmospheric compositions. The plugin includes two additional articulations recorded in 2022 with a new instrument, plus an arpeggiator, step sequencer, and sound-shaping options like EQ, cabinet, distortion, and reverb. It also features a ukulele strumming instrument. With approximately 400 samples and 20 MB of compressed data, this inspiring instrument will enrich your productions, whether you’re scoring a film or adding organic textures to your tracks.
