Cinematic Cymbals by Have Audio turns cymbal performances into dark textures, evolving pads and atmospheric layers for film scores and experimental productions. Recorded by drummer and percussionist Jim Black, the library explores bowed cymbals, super ball friction mallets and extended playing techniques. Acoustic recordings meet sounds processed through modular synthesizers and analogue effects pedals, offering both metallic detail and transformed harmonic beds. Three Kontakt instruments—Acoustic, Electronic and Dystopian—contain 620 samples, with sound banks covering reverse bowed textures, ghostly cymbals, playable tuned sounds, minor chords and aleatoric pads. Built-in processing includes filtering, tape saturation, distortion, convolution reverb, Metallic echoes and low-end drone effects. It suits composers and producers seeking unsettling accents, tense backgrounds or unconventional melodic material. The full version of Kontakt is required; the free Kontakt Player is not supported.
