Empirical Labs Professor Punch-Knuckles

Professor Punch-Knuckles is a saturation and distortion plugin from Softube and Empirical Labs, delivering the unmistakable sonic character of the Distressor and Mike-E. It offers three distinct flavors—Toasty, Crunchy, and Distress—ranging from warm, gentle saturation to forceful, explosive distortion. The intuitive interface makes it easy to add vintage warmth, subtle breakup, or aggressive compression-style coloration to drums, vocals, and more. A unique Mode switch applies Empirical Labs’ emphasis filters to shape the tone, adding transformer and tape-like character for a smoother, refined punch.
