OwnTHD

OwnTHD by Three Body Technology is a harmonic coloration plugin that lets you design your own analog-style distortion instead of chasing exact emulations. It models the nonlinear behavior of nine classic hardware pieces, so you can borrow the character of a ‘2A’-type compressor without compressing, or add the punchy low-end of a ‘4K’ unit. Four drive controls, plus adjustable Bias, Feedback and Depth, let you push each profile beyond its original sweet spot. Three ideal circuit models—solid-state, tube and tape—round out the palette. Use it on individual tracks to add grit, warmth or edge, or across a mix bus for cohesive color. It suits producers who want hands-on control over harmonic texture rather than preset emulations, and works in any DAW on Windows or macOS.
