PDQ Bass by Iamlamprey is a bass guitar instrument built for getting punchy, aggressive parts into a song without slowing down your writing session. Combining sampled bass with physical modelling, it covers F1–E5 and suits producers, composers and songwriters who need a consistent foundation for demos and arrangements. Four velocity-controlled articulations—palm muted, fingered, alternate picked and slapped—let you shape performances directly from MIDI notes, with no key switches to manage. The alternate-picking engine cycles through five round-robin samples without consecutive repeats, while Force Downpick offers a more uniform picking approach. Velocity Min and Max controls narrow the response to keep unwanted articulations out of your part. Choose the DI version for your own processing chain or the processed version to start writing immediately, then refine the tone with onboard compression and EQ.
