PotenzaDSP Amigo Sampler is a sample-based instrument for producers who want the grainy character of Commodore Amiga audio. When you import WAV, MP3 or AIFF files, it converts them to 22 kHz, 8-bit playback for a deliberately rougher sound. It also reads Amiga IFF samples, making it useful for working with sounds in that classic format.
Playback options cover several approaches to making music. Chromatic Mono lets you play samples melodically one note at a time, while Polyphonic mode supports overlapping notes and includes a one-note chord option. Slice mode maps different sections of a sample to notes, so you can trigger individual slices from your MIDI keyboard or piano roll.
For further manipulation, Amigo offers real-time, AKAI-style timestretching with full automation support. It suits hobby producers building crunchy sample-based tracks or exploring retro sampling workflows in FL Studio and Ableton Live. The Windows version runs as a 64-bit VST3 plugin and requires Windows 7 or newer plus compatible host software; it does not run standalone.
